George W. Colleps, 77, died December 10 in a Grand Junction hospital. He had been ill a week. Mr. Colleps was born in Minooka, IL July 31, 1887 and married Elizabeth Kingsley at Casselton, N.D. on June 24, 1908. They came to Eagle in 1910 where Mr. Colleps was railroad depot agent for three years before taking up a homestead on Eby Creek north of Eagle. They moved to Gypsum in 1928 and in 1934 to Whitewater, near Grand Junction. Funeral and burial services were in Grand Junction Monday afternoon. Mr. Colleps is survived by his wife.
