Funeral services were held Dec. 12 at the Farnum Mortuary in Glenwood for Mrs. Lillian A. Conway of Eagle. She died Dec. 10 in Mountain View Nursing Home in Glenwood. The rev. Leon Martin officiated and burial was in Gypsum.
She was born Liliian Kerlee March 12, 1879 at Hiawassee, GA. her childhood was spent at Huerfano and Mesa, Colo. She was married to Dr. William Lawrence Conway, who died in 1935.
Dr. Conway was company doctor for the railroad company at Tercio, before they moved to Gypsum, in 1901, making that their home until his death.
Mrs. Conway, a school teacher prior to coming to Eagle County, was a talented person and leaves many of her beautiful paintings.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Beth Byers and Mrs. Starr Doll, both of Eagle; and a sister, Mrs. Nell Swanson of Spokane, Wash; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
