FENNO DEATH.
Edith M. FENNO, 91, a resident of Eagle for the past twelve years, died Tuesday, March 6,1973 at 8 A.M. at the E. Dene Moore Nursing Home in Rifle following a lengthy illness.
Edith M. NILSON was born Aug.9,1881 at Leadville. She was the first child of Mr. and Mrs. Olin NILSON. She received her primary education in schools of Denver and Leadville. After graduating from the Leadville High School, she attended business college in Denver. She was married at Leadville in 1904 to Louis A. FENNO. The two had grown up in that city during its heyday. To this union were born three children: Mary, Ida, and Louis Charles. On 1910, the FENNO family Edwards where Mr. FENNO filed and proved on Homestead land in the Squaw Creek area. The industriousness and pioneering spirit of Mr. and Mrs. FENNO made homesteading and ranching a successful venture.
Mrs. FENNO was preceded in Death by her husband and her son, Louis Charles FENNO. Survivors include two daughters,Mary THOMAS of Eagle and Ida BEARDEN of Burns, five grand children, ten great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Florene FENNO of Eagle, several nieces and nephews, and a cousin Edith Davenport.
