Loyd Alexander GERARD, 64 Gypsum valley rancher, died in the Denver Veterans Hospital Aug. 24 after a year's illness.
Mr. GERARD was born at Gypsum Dec. 28 1894 and grew to manhood in the place of his birth.
On April 26, 1919 he was married to Ora Eldora CARR at Glenwood.
During World War I, he served with Army Ordinance. He was a member of Eagle River Post 150, American Legion, Gypsum.
Mr. GERARD is survived by his wife and four sons: Keith R., Clayton H., Andy and Clyde, all of Gypsum; one brother, Kenneth A. Gypsum and two grandchildren.
The American Legion conducted military services in the Gypsum hall, with Reverend H. C. MOOREHEAD the officiating minister. Farnum Mortuary of Glenwood was in charge of arrangements. Services, and interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery were Friday afternoon at two o'clock.
