CHARLEY GOODWIN DIED IN DENVER
Charles Stratton Goodwin, respected citizen and beloved neigh bor died in Denver Easter Sunday, following a long period of failing health. Born to Theadora and Martha Goodwin at Atlantic- lowa, Nov. 7, 1878. he had lived in Eagle County since 1919. April 4, 1906, Mr. Goodwin married Miss Grace Rockwell of Wiota, lowaThe family lived in the Edwards vicinity for many years, and in recent years -bought property in Eagle, where Mr and Mrs. Goodwin and her brother, Ralph Rockwell made their home together. Foremost' in Mr. Goodwin’s interest was the ‘‘good earth” and his lawn, flower and vegetable gardens kept him occupied, despite his failing health during the past two years. Mr. Goodwin was taken to a Denver hospital- where death came April 10Rev. and Mrs B- E- Bulkley came from Castle Rock to hold services for Mr. Goodwin in the Eagle Methodist Church April 14 (Burial was in the Eagle cemetery. Surviving are his wife- Grace; two sons: Clinton of Kanopolis, Kans-, Donnie of Grand Junction and two daughters: Naomi Way. ker of Ft. Collins; and Kay Pettit of Wolcott; a brother Ralph of Atlantic, Iowa; his brother-in-law Ralph Rockwell of Eagle, 11 grandchildren.
