ROSS GRANT DIED NEW YEAR'S DAY
Ross Grant, resident of Minturn for 28 years, passed away at his home in Delta January 1, after a years illness with cancer. Mr. Grant was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, January 15, 1803. He came to the United States in 1924. working with a brother in Crested Butte, Colorado for two years, before joining his brother, Lem Grant, at Minturn, where he was employed by Fleming Lumber Company. In July, 1927 he was married to Josephine Timmer in Denver. To this union was born three daugnters. About a year ago the Grants moved to Delta, where he died Saturday. Funeral services were in Grand junction January 5 and burial was in the I. O. O- F. cemetery m that city. Mr- Grant is survived by his wife; three daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Winters, Mrs Donna Bridenbaugh, and Marlene Grant; four brothers C. L. of Gypsum; Arthur and Gus of Boston and Lester of Nova Scotia; and three sisters; Myrtle, Bessie and Hester.
