JOHN HOLLAND DIED TODAY.
John HOLLAND, 78, early day stockman and rancher of Wolcott, died in a Glenwood hospital this morning, where he had been a patient since early in July.
Funeral arrangements are pending.

JOHN JOSEPH HOLLAND.
A former prominent stockman of Eagle County, passed away in the Glenwood hospital July 31, following a long illness.
John Joseph HOLLAND was born at Central City, Colo. May 5, 1880. He moved to Wolcott in 1893, where he ranched until 10 years ago, when he retired. On December 28, 1910, Mr. HOLLAND and Miss Nellie CUNNINGHAM were married in Glenwood Springs. Mrs. HOLLAND preceded her husband in death in 1955.
An honor guard was provided by 38 members of Colorado's State Highway Patrol honoring Mr. HOLLAND, father of Sgt. Jack HOLLAND, of the Patrol.
Mr. HOLLAND was a member of the Wool Growers' Association, the Eagle County Grazing Association and a charger member of the Holy Name Society. He was educated at Wolcott and Eureka, Utah.
Rosary was Sunday evening at Farnum Chapel in Glenwood; Requiem Mass was said at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eagle by Father John AYLWARD Monday morning and burial was in Sunset View Cemetery, Eagle.
Mr. HOLLAND is survived by two sons: John L. of Wheatridge, Wm J. of Canon City; two daughters: Mrs. Rolland (Eileen) RANDALL of Eagle and Mrs. Charles (Margaret) KUTZ of Englewood; one brother, Wash HOLLAND of Denver; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends who wish, may contribute to St. Mary's Church for a memorial fund in memory of Mr. and Mrs. John HOLLAND.
