Graveside funeral services were held at the Eagle cemetery Monday afternoon for James Howard, who was found dead Saturday evening on the banks of the Eagle river near Avon.Mr. Howard was born June 2, 1868 and was 71 years old at the time of his death. It is believed that he died sometime Friday evening, although his body was not found until Saturday evening. Mr. Howard had been a resident of the Avon community for 24 years, but nothing is known of any relatives and it is thought that they must live in England his native country. The body was laid to rest by the Andre funeral home of Eagle.
