SERVICES HELD FOR WILLIAM HOYT.
William Leander HOYT, a former resident of the Eagle-Gypsum area, died Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Gypsum Methodist Church.
William HOYT was born Dec. 8, 1895, at Radium, Colorado, to Augustus H. and Emily Ann Cullen HOYT.
One of eight children, he spent most of his early life in the Radium-Kremmling area. He spent several of his years in California and in the Eagle-Gypsum area.
On April 3, 1963, he married his wife, Opal at Wellington, Kan.
On his retirement, he made his home at Kremmling with his wife, who survives him.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine, his first wife, Mildred, his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Surviving are two brothers, Ammi HOYT of Gypsum and Ralph HOYT of Grand Junction, two nieces, three nephews, and two step-sons.
Burial was at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Gypsum. Pall bearers were Marion BAKER, John ROBINSON, Johnny EDSELL, Royce HOYT, Robert HOYT, and Bud GATES.
